19 weeks today - where is the time going??!

I CANNOT believe I am 19 weeks already! My pregnancy ticker says "Half way there" today... WOW!!! It's been such a great journey and such a smooth pregnancy so far; I feel so blessed!

I took 3 days off of work, last Thursday through this Monday as my brother came from Washington to visit; we all had a GREAT time!! We were total tourists and visited the High Museum on Friday, and took my son to the Zoo and then the Aquarium over the weekend.

Here are some pictures!

And here's my 17 and 18 week belly shots:

Everything is going great - I've been feeling LOTS of kicking and movement lately; this little one is really quite the gymnast! On Sunday night I was stretched out on the couch, I like to slump and rest my hands on my stomach, and I felt a hard lump on the left, right below my belly button. I gently pressed down with my hand and sure enough, I must have been right on top of the baby because I got a HUGE flip! I felt it on the outside and inside! That was really cool! I was excited to tell my IPs about it.

I received the Baby Beat doppler I rented a week or so ago, and sent my IPs a recording the next day, I really think they enjoyed hearing it for themselves!

March 8th is our Level II ultrasound, and we're figuring out whether they will be able to be on the phone to hear the gender reveal, or if I will just have to call them right after. I am counting down the days, I'm really looking forward to the sneak peek and can't wait to send T&I another video of their baby!!

Happy Valentine's Day - 17 weeks!

I had an OB appointment on the 12th and everything was great!! The OB picked up the munchkin's heartbeat instantly, and had to chase her all over as she kept rolling or bouncing around out of reach of the doppler - very active baby! He said, "Based on my 13 years of experience, it sounds like a girl." I thought that was funny that he was guessing based off a few seconds on the doppler!! :) We'll find out on March 8th if he, IM and I are right!

My blood pressure was "very good", but I didn't get the actual numbers, and my weight gain is fine. I was given the "but watch your carbs" speech and told to eat lots of fruit and veggies. No problem! :) I love carrots right now; I'm eating some at this moment actually! And I've been loving fruit ever since I got pregnant; especially oranges. Yumm!

They gave me my lab results from last Friday
Estradiol: over 4,000
Progesterone: 42

Cooper called me that afternoon (after the OB appointment) and still hadn't received the lab results, but told me to go ahead and start cutting back my suppositories to once daily. I am happy about that, I should be off them completely in another week or so.

I finally feel confident enough that things are going ok that I rented a Baby Beat doppler. I really want T&I to hear their baby's heartbeat and just couldn't really figure out how else to get them a recording. Plus, I am looking forward to the reassurance of being able to listen in every now and then to make sure baby munchkin is still doing well!

Movement was pretty strong yesterday, the baby is hanging out in a bad spot though; right where I've been getting tons of ligament stretching pains, and everytime she kicks or pushes against my stomach in that one spot it hurts a little - just mildly uncomfortable, but still annoying. I think my stomach muscles are just in bad shape!! :) I'm hoping to start doing prenatal yoga a couple times a week at home starting tonight; I need to!

Valentines was yesterday; though Kenneth and I exchanged gifts on Tuesday evening, and are planning to go out this Saturday for a date night - so we didn't do much on the actual day! Plus Kenneth had class last night.

So, that's it for now! My next appointment is on the 8th at the MFDC for the Level II 20 week scan; we're all very much looking forward to it!! :)

I spoke to my OBs office on Friday.

I spoke to my OBs office on Friday.

Progesterone: 37.2
Estradiol: 3390

I am still taking 2 progesterone suppositories daily and 1 estrace tablet daily; I am hoping I can at least stop the estrace, though I imagine I'll be asked to stay on suppositories for another week and have bloods this Friday or something. Maybe this week my numbers will be good enough to come off meds, who knows at this point! It seems like they've stayed pretty steady in the low to mid 40 range, and I'm not sure what Cooper is looking for. So many SM's I know from SMO stop all meds around week 10-12 that I am sure they are just being extra safe, I just feel bad if its unneccessary both for myself because it is a chore to remember every day (of course a worthwhile one) and for my IPs because of the expense! We'll see what Becky says today! :) (I had to call her and leave her a vm with the numbers, because although my OBs office said they faxed the results, Becky said she hadn't received them as of this past Friday).

It's February!

I just thought I'd post a quick check-in. I'm still waiting on lab results from last Friday's blood test; I'm down to 2 suppositories and need to order more ASAP if they're keeping me on the meds for awhile longer!

1 1/2 more weeks til my next OB appointment! Yay! I am sure I'll get to hear Munchkin's heartbeat and it will be good to have a check up and make sure all is well.

My IPs received the nuchal u/s video on Tuesday and sent me an e-mail expressing their delight in watching their little baby moving around all over the place... I think it must make it so much more real to see pictures and video. I am sort of hoping they can make it for the 20 week scan, but my IF is saving all his days off for the birth of the baby, which I can TOTALLY understand so that probably won't work out.

I have been having a nausea in the shower the last couple days, I got REALLY dizzy yesterday and today I feel sick again (like morning sickness). It's weird how that can still come and go. Over all I feel MUCH better though.

I am 15 weeks as of yesterday, the baby is now about the size of a "softball"! I have felt a couple flutters - felt one late yesterday afternoon, but nothing on a regular basis still. I can't wait until I feel things more often, its such a reassuring and exciting feeling!

I've also had a TON of streching, twingy cramps lately. They're bugging me today! It was over my whole lower abdomen last night, and today its kind of alternating side to side. I'm not overly worried, I just can't help but wonder if this is more than "normal" round ligament pain... but I have no idea what it might be if its not "normal"!! (Whatever normal is!)

I have experienced a bit of insomnia the last couple nights too, and am PRAYING this is not an on-going problem, or I will be a mess at work every day. I woke up around 2am for no reason on Wednesday morning and couldn't really get back to sleep, and I woke up at 3-4ish this morning and couldn't really get back to sleep. It's like a switch shuts on and all of a sudden I'm awake, whether I want to be or not!
