Easy Honey Whiskey Pork Chops

I found this recipe on Lori's Culinary Creations via Pinterest and thought it looked like a good one to try out on some yummy thick cut pork chops we had ready to enjoy. I followed the recipe as written, but there wasn't enough glaze mixture for the chops we used, and I had to whip up more of the soy sauce and honey combo to brush on top after they baked, so I included my suggestion to double the sauce ingredients below. Also, I think these would be extra flavorful and juicy if they were allowed to marinate at least a few hours to overnight!

My son and husband both really enjoyed this recipe with the addition of the extra sauce after baking - they said they were very tender, moist, and delicious and they had no problem eating them up and looking for second helpings! We served this yummy dinner with some easy linguini tossed with olive oil, parmesan, salt, pepper, and garlic powder alongside some steamed broccoli for a very satisfying and tasty dinner.

Easy Honey Whiskey Pork Chops slightly adapted from Lori's Culinary Creations
Ingredients
6 Tbsp Honey
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1-2 TBS whiskey
3 6-oz pork chops

Directions
  1. Suggestion: combine sauce ingredients and pour over pork chops in a Tupperware or other sealable container, allow to marinate at least 2 hours, up to overnight, before cooking.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Place chops and combined sauce ingredients in a glass baking dish, make sure chops are evenly coated.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes, and then flip them over. Continue baking for another 15 minutes minimum (ours were thick cut, so I baked them 45 minutes total which was perfect). The internal temperature should reach a minimum of 145 degrees. Spoon sauce from the baking dish over the top of chops and serve.
